For CA and CS firms.
A second reading of client annual reports, under your own engagement.
A second reading of client annual reports. Your judgement stays yours.
It is not. We supply observations with evidence. Your engagement team decides what, if anything, to do with each one, under your firm’s own quality-management system. We do not perform audit procedures, sign anything or communicate with your client’s regulator.
For clients you do not audit, the review is part of your own advisory or pre-filing service, under your engagement letter. On engagements you are performing, it is an extra reading your team evaluates. We run a conflicts check on every client.
The report is delivered to your firm, not to your client, for use in your own service.
Documents are kept apart for each client, used only for that engagement and deleted 30 days after delivery. Security and confidentiality.
Published-report reviews carry a published sliding volume discount; partnership terms for pre-filing work are agreed per firm. A framework agreement with your firm, then an order per client, is available on request.
Send us one client annual report that is already published. We return the observations with evidence, and you judge the quality before any volume commitment.
Four things on every observation. Check them yourself.
- 1
The page
The page number and the highlighted words from your annual report, so your team finds it in seconds.
- 2
The rule
The requirement quoted, in the version in force for the period, not today’s.
- 3
The challenge
Management’s best answer argued first. A point is a finding only at 99%; otherwise it is a question, or dropped and counted.
- 4
The review
Reviewed by a qualified professional before release. No unreviewed tier.
Two real reviews of Indian listed companies, with names, people, places, dates and distinctive amounts masked. Figures, pages and the law are as filed.
The objections we hear, answered.
Does using you breach our professional standards?
Using a third-party tool or specialist does not move responsibility: your firm stays responsible for the engagement and for evaluating what we provide. Check the position under your own quality-management system and, where relevant, with your professional body.
Will our client know you were involved?
Only if you tell them. The report is delivered to your firm. Our confidentiality duty runs to you and, for a draft, to the company whose draft it is.
Can you sign or certify anything for us?
No. We do not sign, certify or give an opinion on any report or financial statement. Not an audit, review, certification or assurance opinion, and not legal advice. Pramanex is not a firm of chartered accountants or company secretaries.
How accurate is it?
“99%” is the threshold a point must clear to be called a finding, not a measured accuracy rate, and we do not claim one. What you can check: every quotation is matched to the page image, every rule to its official text, a separate pass argues the company’s side, and the report counts how many points were kept, put as questions or dropped.
What if you find nothing?
Then the report says so, and shows what was read, which checks were run and how many candidate points were dropped and why. We do not pad a report to justify the fee.
Who is liable if you miss something?
Our liability for an engagement is limited to the fee paid for it, to the extent the law allows, and a report is not exhaustive: a matter not raised is not confirmed as compliant. That is why every point carries its evidence, so your team can check it rather than trust it.
