6.10 Sustainability, climate and risk pages: a misspelt material topic, a grammatical slip, a copied heading and missing spaces
UK Company B · a UK-listed technology and logistics group · Drafting slip
In brief
Several drafting slips appear in the Sustainability Report, the climate-related financial disclosures and the principal-risk tables. None changes a figure, but one heading in the climate risk table describes the wrong subject. The 2024 report has slips of the same kind on its sustainability, risk and TCFD pages (both years).

What the report shows, and what the rule requires
| What the annual report shows | What the rule requires |
|---|---|
| What the annual report shows (1) Material topic printed as 'Climate change adaption' on pages 57 and 58; (2) 'to aligned to new guidance' on page 68; (3) in the climate risk table on page 80 the management strategy for the Net Zero Challenge risk is headed 'Energy supply diversification and efficiency', the heading used for the energy usage risk on page 78, although the bullets beneath it describe the Net Zero roadmap; (4) missing spaces in 'shift.Development' on page 79 and 'suppliers. We' on page 91. | What the rule requires (1) 'Climate change adaptation'; (2) 'to align with new guidance'; (3) a heading such as 'Net Zero roadmap and governance'; (4) 'shift. Development' and 'suppliers. We'. |
Why it matters
Presentation only; the copied heading could mislead a reader about how the Net Zero Challenge risk is managed.
Exposure
Drafting only.
Our workings
Each slip is printed as quoted in the evidence. The copied heading in item (3) matters most because a reader scanning the management-strategy column would take energy diversification as the response to the Net Zero Challenge risk.
Management’s best defence, and our reply
The company could say these are proof-reading slips with no effect on any figure, and that the bullets under the copied heading make the real content clear. That is right as to effect, which is why the slips are listed as drafting only; they should still be corrected in the next report.
The fix
- Correct the spelling and grammar, add the missing spaces and give the Net Zero Challenge management strategy its own heading.
